Do you actually believe this was a "freak accident"?

The Georgia Parents of 17 y/o Kendrick Johnson who was found dead in a SUSPICIOUS manner as he was found rolled up in a GYM MAT and accused students and faculty of covering up the murder and filed a lawsuit against them...but it was later thrown out by a judge because there was no proof and now they must pay $300,000 in LEGAL FEES to dozens of people they accused!!

Kendrick's body was found in a gymnasium by classmates at Lowndes High School in 2013 as the police concluded he died in a "freak accident" and stuck upside down and unable to breathe while trying to retrieve a "shoe" tha fell inside the upright mat

But his parents long insisted he was murdered and in 2015, Kenneth and Jacquelyn Johnson filed a lawsuit accusing 2 brothers of killing their son, who had been their schoolmate.

They said the brother's father is an FBI AGENT and acted in cahoots with the school superintendent and his daughters, as well as a former sheriff to roll up his body inside the mat to make it look like it was an accidental death.

The Johnsons eventually gave up and dropped the 100 million civil suit last year but the 39 defendants they had sued then asked the judge to order them to pay their lawyer fees and related costs of up to 850,000..however Superior Court Judge Richard Porter asked to look at their billings and instead said they needed to owe closer to 300,000 instead.

Porter said "Their testimony shows that they had no evidence to support their claims that the brothers killed Johnson or that any of their defendants engaged in a conspiracy to coneal the cause or manner of Johnson's death"

Brian and Branden Bell were the brothers accused of the incident as they were the last ones seen with him and have now been cleared as they ruled it an accident as Georgia allows parties owed money in legal judgements to seek garnishments of wages and bank accounts or to go after a debtors property.

Kendrick - Deceased

I remember this story.

This one was a case of a cover up imo. There's a section of the security camera footage that was missing, and one of the kids who was accused Dad was the sheriff or something.

The kid was murdered.

Was this the same dead kid that was buried, then the body was exhumed for a follow-up investigation, and they found the brain and heart missing and the body filled with newspapers?

I don't know. Maybe if you try and use reading skills you'll find the answer. I don't hand out obvious answers anymore it's too stupid. Use your brains people.

We're gonna leave it at that. It's a really messed up story. I'd say you'll see it on one of those History Uncovers types of shows a decade or two down the road.

Its standard practice of funeral homes to fill caverns created by organs that were removed due to them pretty much rotting with cotton/sawdust/etc

I mean it is absurdly unlikely all 39 defendants were involved in the murder if it was a murder.

Can't go accusing the whole fucking school of murder.

What the fuck was his shoe doing in the mat? I remember how they were stored, he'd have had to climb to get to the top. Fall nothing, it was thrown in there. And the who of that bears investigating.

That said, they shouldn't have sued for a cover up, they should have sued for negligence, which is what killed the kid. How did no one notice he was missing until it was too late?

Its a sad situation but this was the correct decision. It was a wild and baseless lawsuit and they can't be excused for the damaged they've caused to the defendants just because their son died.

Read up on the situation, it was common for kids to store their wrestling shoes inside the rolled up mats until the next practice, there were eyewitness accounts of Johnson himself throwing his shoes into a mat.

Fine, there's still a negligence suit there.
