Yes or no?

Any good games coming out for it? Or any good ones out now?

I've heard literally nothing about it in the last 6 months.

I'd assume it's either dead or soon will be.

No, the resolution needs to improve to deal with screen door effect and the FPS could do with a boost.

I played one a month or two ago for 15 minutes!
No lie, it was pretty awesome.

The problem really came down to price. You couldn't justify spending 600+ on the headset, and then even more than that on a machine that could run it at satisfactory levels.

So only the die hards bought into it, which didn't give it an install base nearly large enough for developers to warrant actually making anything for... Which means no one will buy it because it has no games.

The technology seemed to be there. Most people who have used the systems have said its incredible. All the conventions I went to had large lines of people waiting to use them. But then most of the people who tried it never actually went ahead and bought one, even if they were very impressed with the machine.

Price aside, VR has tons of room for refinement, and needs it. It seems amazing because it's novel.

The main thing that VR needs is a killer app. Consider that it took almost 2 decades for the Internet to take off and reach massive public usage.

If youre going to do VR you have to do Vive. For only 200 more you get full body tracking and you can still do seated if you want to. And its steam supported so there will always be games for it.

If youre going to go VR this gen then go Vive, but waiting a gen isnt a bad idea. If you do purchase it though I gaurantee you wont be unhappy with it.

That trailer has provided me more entertainment than some video games I've played.

Tricky to say, it differs from person to person and if it's something you're physically able to handle.
Resolution is average at best, experience differs wildly from game to game and motion controls suck in 99% of cases...
...but as with most things, YMMV.

This. I saw the hype my friends had for it leading up to launch, the relative excitement of the first week owning it, then absolute disinterest in perpetuity. It is basically the Duke Nukem Forever for peripherals.
