But as far as some other Youtube channels are concerned, James has done pretty well keeping himself alive 11 years later whereas a lot of the most popular channels like Fred, Brentalfloss, etc. are pretty much dead now, and a lot of channels went from being great to complete trash (Retsupurae). Even then, there have been a few AVGN videos that have came out here and there that were a glimpse of what made him so good back in the day like that Paperboy review. I think that his style is rather old at this point and has been copied to hell, so he has to stay somewhat relevant. But at least he's stayed true to what he always was... even with the James and Mike Monday playthrough videos. Do yourself a favour and watch the whole Board James series. But his earlier reviews aren't really much better than his newer ones, which have higher production value and focuses on funny commentary and skit rather than just being really really angry and not much else.
