If I match I make contact. I make small talk. If I think she's cool, I see what she's looking for. If it's what I'm looking for at the time then proceed to engage at whatever level of flirtatiousness she seems comfortable with. CERTAINLY need to have an awareness of where that line is, as Nick here clearly did not.

- the two having conversations with each other over an extended period of time
- conversations including those she seems to initiate
- him badly flirting and her playing along

as him randomly sliding into her DMs and asking for sex. you don't get the giant contrast or the many missing pieces here? like say they talked on a regular basis and a part of their convo always came back to badly flirting. say she badly flirted with him back, something you could infer when she says "I tease you more than you tease me." would any of this be an issue?

but the way it's presented makes him look in a certain way. this is why context matters and why it's important that those people you referred to earlier and believe they're an authority on the subject actually are authorities, and not people taking a couple screencaps as the full story. if that's what they're basing their comments on then no, they don't know what they're talking about either. since we can't determine that in either direction, they are not people with more value.

She had ample time to tell him no or cease conversing with her, and for all I know he did get the blowjob and it did work. so now you've added that both need to be genuinely into it, honestly consenting, and care about each other's discomfort. but this doesn't have to really do with bad flirting, both can be consenting and flirting badly, both can think the other comfort level is fine and present themselves as such, and both could be just thinking of a one night stand/fling. like it can still work and be not creepy or it can hit one of those and be creepy.
