I mean that doesn't change the fact that it was being discussed. Hed lost his starting job already after a miserable season and was being called a locker room cancer by fans and experts alike. Speculation of him being cut was mostly fans but some of the local radio guys were running with it to. Don't know if regular sports media was as I tend only to follow the local channels.

I'm not going to read this (probably dumpster fire of a) topic, but Kaep is not a NFL QB. And this is from someone who supports his cause.

Guy has a strong arm but can't make reads. He's super athletic, but that's about it. If he could develop hands and catch the ball well, he'd make a decent WR that could work well as a wildcat QB on trick plays.

Cutler also worked with Gase in Chicago, so there's more a repoire there. They know how to work together. Miami has a decent team and would of put up more of a fight against Pittsburgh win Tannehill than they did with Moore.

Again, he's a highly specialized QB with a skillset that's more or less been broken for the past couple years now that teams know how to gameplan around his offensive style and even disregarding that you need to build your offense around his talents to make it work, something you don't want to do for a one-year stop gap measure. Not to mention that this is freaking Miami and he's spoken positively of Castro in the past, aka the kiss of death for countless fans in that market.

You can absolutely make an argument about him being blacklisted, but Miami wanting to go with a more traditional QB with a great history with their head coach isn't an example of that.

3. Gase has actually worked with Cutler before, giving him more incentive to bring Cutler back

5. Just like Tebow (who none of these leftists crying over crapernick would ever defend), Kaepernick is too big of a publicity issue/distraction for teams to take a risk on
