"Donald Trump is bored and tired. Imagine how he'd feel if he did any work".

- Six months in office
- 40 days at golf clubs
- ZERO major pieces of legislation

lolololol

edit: and i love how he's eating Cheetos. he just needs a beard on his neck and it'd be just perfect.

fwiw I always found that to be one of the more charming things about Trump actually

I, too, would be savaged by the media elite for my garbage tastes. It's refreshing to see someone who doesn't ask for dijon on his $80 burger

How, exactly, is "zero pieces of legislation" a bad thing?
The US government is at it's absolute best when absolutely deadlocked, simply because it's not fucking anything up at the time.

the dijon argument has always been strange to me because it's actually a reflection of the elitism of the critic (hannity, in the case of obama)

dijon is a middle class product that is not expensive and is available to essentially everyone

suggesting it's an elitist product that the middle class doesn't have access to shows how out of touch people like hannity are with the middle class

I, personally, agree with that entirely. Not only is it petty to critique the person for their food choice due to being a partisan loser (lol, those two scoops though!) but thinking of Dijon mustard as some sort of fancy, elitist condiment is just bizarre if you have purchased it at the grocery store or know somebody who likes it for the spice/flavor. My dad used to have it all the time and he's like one stone throw away from a redneck.

Well yeah, but mustard is a more commonplace thing than caviar is, at least in American culture. It's not really just about ease of accessibility, but perhaps also price and commonality.

Eating fish eggs is gross, too. Tried it, not a fan.

yeah its an extreme example

I guess I'm trying to convey that culture is more than just price, you know? That's why I brought up quinoa. Fairly cheap (not for a grain, but in general) but I don't think most people would consider it something for people with more low brow tastes.

Dijon is admittedly a more marginal thing, but I think it still fits. It's more of a poor/working class distinction than a middle class one, though. Let me put it this way -- the GOP suburbanites who had heartburn over who to vote for the last election probably see nothing out of the ordinary with dijon. The people who went hard in the paint for Trump probably would

imho

honestly i think you may have misinterpreted the marketing

dijon mustard's ads were actually showcasing how the everyman could have this 'elitist condiment' and it wasn't restricted to them

most diners have it nowadays.

maybe this is true. it is definitely a middle class item; for the working class the issue is more 'they eat at mcdonalds a shitload' and there is not dijon available there to my knowledge. but their concept of condiments comes from what goes on a hotdog at a family bbq and what goes on their burger at a fast food joint

dijon is at every greasy spoon restaurant but a lot of these people dont have the money to go somewhere that has a waitress.

i think your general point that trump's enjoyment of garbage fast food makes him relateable to his base is true regardless. i just am not sure about the mustard thing.

Its because there is a portion of people (very much in Trump's camp) who base their opinions on nothing what the the tv tells them, or in that example, because Grey Poupon (dijon mustard) had a memorable commercial 25 years ago.

again i must emphasize

that commercial was actually meant to be ironic, that now the working man could have "the rich man's food" and there was no need for elitism because it wasn't expensive, just good
