She thought she was absolutely correct. In fairness, in English that's how it should be said, and one could also argue that the word "garage" has different pronounciations in English, but hearing it said that way is a little strange.

Reminded me of someone repeating your phone number to you in different groups of numbers. So you tell them your number is 07973, 373, 007 and they repeat 07, 97, 337, 330, 7. Very annoying and makes you question your own fucking phone number.

If you're saying it should "dee," the name is supposed to be said fast enough that you can't really tell since you'd have to slow down to fully say "die" properly. If she was like Pew - Die - Pie, yeah that's wrong

I always thought that's how it was pronounced until someone corrected me. I see his name often enough, but I had never watched his videos.

Yep, three seperate words. She was a self-proclaimed "gamer nerd" who plays Candy Crush, a farm game on her 2DS and loves watching "documentaries" on YouTube - read: cheap makeup tutorials. No interest in anything intellectual. She was also a "massive car nerd" - so when we went out for a smoke she noticed my car and complimented me on "is that a Ford Focus? Wow, cool!"

Edit: I only know how to pronounce his name as I follow a YT channel called RoomieOfficial or something who does fantastic musical stuff. As a hobby musician I like to watch and learn from someone much more talented than I. Here's the video I learned Pyewdeépay's name from:
