... wanting to play fetch. Never heard of a cat playing fetch. Especially not as obsessively as mine. He's been at it for an hour now and claws at my sheets if I ignore him.

I know! It's like he's having some kind of identity crisis. He took it up out of the blue a few months ago. He demands playing at least an hour a day.

I had a Russian Gray that would play fetch with me, his favorite toy was a common plush mouse. I'd toss it halfway across the house and he would retrieve it, drop it at my feet, and meow until I launched it again.

Best companion ever.

We feed them the same amount and I watch them eat sometimes. They eat the same portions but ones real skinny and the others real fat. The skinny one Smokey is super shy and barely ever settles or plays with anyone. The fat one Fitzergeral is an attention whore

Mine is obsessive about it. He wants me to throw it over and over. If I try and take a break, he'll start clawing at stuff, meows, head butts me, or sometimes literally flips forward onto my lap until I continue. If I'm on a laptop, he'll walk across it back and forth. He wakes me up often at 5:30 am, dropping his toy by my head and clawing at my sheets until I play with him.

Aww. I love how cats have such different personalities. Like kids lol. I love it when cats are AWs. I have another cat too. He likes to play a little but not nearly as much as the other. But he's a lot less shy and more adventurous. 10 times smarter too lol.

So I just booted my cat from my bedroom because I need to sleep. And now he's at my door crying incessantly. I had to lock it too because they both know how to open it (I know) and he's just pawing at the door handle like a madman.


I just want to sleeeep.

I should've mentioned they're brothers and they're both super long and all, they're like super cats, it's weird

Then there's my grandpa's 20+ y/o cat, Miss Kitty, who now has cat arthritis and won't fight you if you try to play with her anymore

We've got 3 cats, one of them gets put out every night because otherwise she hunts for mice and then just brings them into my dad's room without killing them if she finds one. But if she's forced to stay out for the night she'll climb the tree outside and meow right outside my window at least twice. Nothing is done about this because my parents aren't the ones bothered in this situation and therefore they don't give a shit.

Yup. And somehow my husband has been sleeping through this like a baby. One of them just ran over him and clawed him and he went right back to sleep. So jealous.

Playful kitties are a ton of fun. They're still young (a little over a year old). But I do hope they stay playful. But sometimes (like now) it's a serious pain in the butt.
