I am sure most of you know that Robin Williams named his daughter after The Legend of Zelda right? Is it true, or a common urban myth?

There's plenty of Marios around my town of Escondido, CA, so I imagine that I'd probably have to name any son something else like Michael from Star Ocean 2 (not that many people would figure it out!) unless I used the original name, Decus. Daughter? Rena definitely, but again, who would figure it out? That being said, I do actually know someone IRL who is named Reena that I worked with for several years and I think I had asked how she got her name and it definitely wasn't SO2.

Oh well... Cie la vie as they say... troll/flame if you want I won't respond.

yeah it's true hell You'd think being in a legend of zelda commercial would make that pretty damn clear when in it her daughter asks if he's talking about her or the princess

Still sucks that he's gone. He came across so warm in his movie roles.

Yeah, even when it happened I suspected it was a World's Greatest Dad kind of thing where the family covered for it. (Which, by the way, was a downright unpleasant film all around.)

Yeah, especially Insomnia where he made me feel all happy and giggly inside.

I guess we've all forgotten about One Hour Photo then...I could never quite look at the man the same way after that one.

One hour photo, a film that would not make sense to people from younger generations

It was a pretty wacky one

Granted, but it also showcased how cozy Williams could get with his dark side. Kind of like seeing Jim Carey in Eternal sunshine or The Number 23. It's so disconcerting to see an actor known for typically being comedically whacky switch rails and turn grimdark up to 11 for the first time.

Cable Guy is what first jumps to mind for Carey.

A bit, but that character is still a lot closer to Fire Marshall Bill from the In Living Color skits than anything else.

Yeah... RIP. :'( Still haven't watched anything he was in since. I saw a wax model (statue?) of him when I was in San Francisco that threw me off... because of how realistic it looked.

Although the model wasn't very tall.

Yeah i havent seen a movie of his sice either. I don't think i can bare it. Especially considering that i am also suicidal and him dying the way he did. Just hits harder to me, never knew the guy in person, but he made me happy watching his movies. Unfortunately they no longer will......

Strangulation via a belt? Because that's how David Carradine died as well. Neither guy left a suicide note. Just saying.

Madame Tussauds is great. I've never been to any of them but their statues are very realistic.
