As someone who has served in the Army, I don't give a shit what is in another soldier's pants, or who they're going home to at night.

As long as my fellow soldiers have my back, pull their weight, and aren't a complete asshole, I don't care what they're up to in their personal lives.

All the suicide and addiction destroying soldiers and their families, and this is what Trump decides to focus on. What a complete waste of time and money.

MtF should absolutely be banned because they're taking supplements designed to make them less efficient soldiers. However, FtM should be preferred over female recruits because their hormone supplements will make them stronger and therefore more able to serve effectively.

If you meet the physical requirements, you should be able to serve. That is how it has been for years and many trans people serve today. But we know this is not actually about the military; it is a way to further the narrative that trans people are burdensome drains on resources (which is demonstrably false).

Frankly, if there aren't any problems with gays in the military there won't be problems with transgenders. They're just looking for a minority group to shit on and it's no longer acceptable to go after gays.

Exactly. They let people who are dumber than a bag full of toast serve. I can't even tell you how many alcoholics and drug addicts I served with. But trans people are a problem??

The two trans people (that I know of) who served with me were outstanding soldiers and great people. This whole thing is absurd.

It absolutely is, here is a small list of some that would possibly prevent you from joining. makes sense too, why would you let someone into the Army if they cannot perform to the standards the Army requires?

I'm against it. But i say if the American military doesn't want hard working men and women just because they had a surgery. Then those men and women should serve a country that does want them. Canada for example.

Also, transgendered people have got to be the bravest people i know. They brave physical, mental and social risks that terrify most people. Just think. How many men do you know that would be willing to have their penis pushed inside out and inserted inside them? Holy shit....

He banned all Transgenders from serving in any part of the military under the guise of "not wanting to spend government funds" on them having their transition surgeries. He could have simply just prevented the latter, but chose to ban them outright, which sorta seems a little shitty of him at the very least.

I don't know enough about either transgenders or how they effect military cohesion to have an informed opinion on the subject. In short, where the fuck is my "I don't know" option?

If they want to risk their lives for the countries safety let them.
