Board 8 > I feel like I'm having the worst 48 hours...

Been bitten to hell and back by a species of small black mosquitos(I swatted a small black bug off me the other day, watched the spot I swatted it from swell like hell before my eyes for a couple hours). Found small black bug flying around, observed it on the wall and realized it wasnt a fly but looked almost like a mosquito(I googled small black mosquito southern california and it looked exactly like it). Apparently they are aggressive as fuck and produce really painful itchy bites. I have these all over.

Then my PC tells me my SSD is going to die(failure is imminent).

Kershaw is out 4-6 weeks(If lucky) with a back injury.

And I ordered Splatoon 2 from Best Buy because I needed to burn a gift card(I don't really shop at best buy) and I needed to order something else to get free shipping for my Revali amiibo(Revali is pretty great). Well, I check the shipping status because its getting kind of late from when it was shipped. It says it was delivered already. Obviously, I have no package. People are asking me to play Splatoon 2 with them and I cant because I have no package. So now I have to figure out what to do with that because I've never had a package not delivered like that.

I think it's best not to tally all the good and bad things that happen to you over a short amount of time.

It's just kinda weird and makes you overemphasize things that really aren't a big deal.

Mosquito infestation(Once a year, maybe)

SSD failure(Once every 5-10 years, likely)

Major sports injury to totally irreplaceable pitcher(Once a year, emotionally devastating)

Shipping Failure (Once in 10+ years of online ordering, major disappointment)

Being that upset over a 4-6 week injury to Kershaw is quite frankly insulting when you have as big a lead as you do

my dad is also in the hospital and they have no idea what ids wrong with him. But I honestly care less about that and its not really a 48 hour thing(More like a 2 week thing).

But its the littler things that make life awesome and when they all seem to go wrong at the same time is when life feels the worst. Major things are whatever and generally predictable.

Its the general fear that he wont return sharp like last year and basically hit the postseason with nothing but a fastball(He had no command over his curve and his slider wasnt breaking last year, leading to the Cubs destroying him).

Also back injuries tend to be nagging, so its not a good sign for his future either.

After having a bad case of poison ivy last year, mosquito bites don't even bother me anymore.

My whole arm and both ankles were hard painful bubbles yesterday. A little better today.
