WASHINGTON — A Texas GOP congressman says if the three female Republican senators who oppose a bill repealing Obamacare were men from South Texas, he might challenge them to a duel.

"The fact that the Senate does not have the courage to do some of the things that every Republican in the Senate promised to do is just absolutely repugnant to me," U.S. Rep. Blake Farenthold, R-Corpus Christi, told his local radio host Bob Jones on Friday.

"Some of the people that are opposed to this, there are female senators from the Northeast ... If it was a guy from South Texas, I might ask him to step outside and settle this Aaron Burr-style."

tbh, whenever I think of a duel I remember that episode. The montage is missing my favorite line of the episode: "Ohhhh, why'd I have a challenge a guy who says suh?"

I've said this multiple times before. It's also why I tend to defend the state when people shit on it, because after living here for years, I can easily say there are few states in the US that I'd consider worth moving to.

95% or more of NJ bashing comes from people whose sole knowledge of the state comes from the Turnpike (which is a thin strip mostly in the middle of nowhere) or from the Jersey Shore (which is mostly filled with NY trash anyway). Or even less than that, and only from what they've heard of other people making fun of the state. Very few people who shit on the state have ever actually been here.

And if you're just going to focus on the bad parts of any state, honestly, most states in the US are kind of trash. I can't imagine moving south or west from here of my own free will.

I've seen half the state and have yet to find the nice part. I've probably spent the most amount of time in Passaic and Bergen. (Well, excluding time spent in traffic jams trying to drive through the state...)
