It was pretty good

Storm was really hot

They spent a lot of time just to give Wolverine a cameo. And it was pretty ridiculous how powerful he was. Even if he could heal from any injury a bullet to the chest will still puncture your lungs and slow you down but he somehow ignored all that. And he doesn't have super strength or speed so all those soldiers could just pile on top of him and pin him down.

One, wolverine's healing is pretty much almost instantaneous. Two, he's endured so much physical pain throughout his extended life, even before the excruciating pain of the adamantium fusion process, that he can ignore the majority of it. Three, it's fictional.

I just watched the X-Men movies for the first time last winter (because I thought Logan looked cool as hell and I wanted to be caught up) and when I was watching Apocalypse I kept thinking "is Wolverine in this one? I wonder in what capacity" and then he showed up and it was fucking awesome.

He's easily the best part of those movies.

nope but how ribs are shaped liked anybody else's so bullets could still hit is organs

That was a good comic in its original form because the point of the story wasn't so much time travel as to reveal the bleak future of the world. Time travel was used more as a means to show the reality they feared was an actual reality.

It was more along the lines of terminator not Star Trek or some other geek fest.

I loved it. Next to X men 2 and Days of future Past, it's my third favorite x men movie.

It was pretty much everything you'd want from an x men movie, I don't see the downside. It easily could have been 10x worse

And after the first comic it basically stopped being time travel anyway, because it became blatantly established in the X-Men titles that it was more parallel timeline/dimension hopping than it was literal time travel.



(Conversely, it was ALWAYS that - because Rachel was a key character in Days of Future Past, and she was pretty clearly intended to be the daughter of Cyclops and Jean even if it wasn't explicitly spelled out, but Jean was already dead in the mainstream timeline, meaning the point-of-divergence would have happened before Kate Pryde came back to change the past anyway. Meaning that Kate changed the WRONG past anyway.)

He's not really *that* strong. The thing is that the tactics being used were ineffective and he had been purposefully reduced to a feral state which made him even more dangerous. Even if there was enough space and soldiers in the same spot at once to pile him, they would be cut down before they could do it

...and yet time travel heavily factored into the 90s toon and plays a major role in the franchise. Also, y so petty?

Usually when bullets hit those organs they pass through bone first. Your rib cage is designed to not let stuff through.

I hated the first 3 + XMOW, but was pleasantly surprised that DOFP and Apoc were good. I'm going to watch First Class eventually, which I had skipped because the trailers made it look like shit.

I think it was good, mediocre film. The highlight was the quicksilver scene at the mansion. That was freaking awesome

They're very hit or miss. The first two were great, especially because they were the beginning of Comic book movies, but the third kinda sucked. And then all the wolverine spin offs sucked.

Then they tried to do a reboot and it wasn't bad. Then they decided to add the old actors into the reboot with time travel in DoFP and it's one of the best movies in the series. Then Apocalypse came and it was just as good
