Later on Gaige's bullets go literally everywhere. Like, her accuracy penalty is so harsh you're more likely to hit a foe via pointing in basically any direction but right at them. It's... freaking glorious!

Salvador was definitely my favourite character to play as. His ability scaled well and was practically always useful. He had ridiculous damage output and with it survivability. Other characters could edge him out in pure DPS, but his DPS was easy to build and maintain.

Krieg was my next favourite to play. He was also capable of hitting significant damage, but he required slightly more set up. He also had crazy survivability, so much so that when cooping and my 3 friends died on son of crawmerax, they just asked me to die so we could restart. I put away my grog nozzle and just stood in front of him, but my shield going off made it near impossible for him to kill me.

Maya was my third favourite. She has a lot of power and crowd control, and respectable damage when phaselock is up. Her biggest issue was that a lot of her skills depended on phaselock being up, and there were many enemies immune to being held by it, including every raid boss. That severely hurt her performance in those scenarios.

The other three I found not nearly as exciting. I was especially disappointed with Axton, given that Roland was my favourite from the first game. His turret just fell off in damage output too sharply at high level, only being useful for applying slag. At OP levels it regained some usefulness, continuing to scale somewhat, including nuke damage, but it wasn't really enough. It would have been nice if he had an ability to regenerate team ammo. Gaige, while still pretty strong with discord, falls into a similar boat as Axton. Deathtrap just falls off too much at high levels. She can still do great damage with high discord stack, but its annoying to have to build those every time I launch the game. Zer0 had a play style that just didn't gel with me. His damage output is ludicrous though, and I did manage some pretty fast kills with him.

All in all, I think the characters in The Pre-Sequel were better balanced and more fun to use.

You can also use a weapon with a fixed spread like heartbreaker or sand hawk to get around that.

Gaige.

I miss Lilith ;_;

But I hate her BL2 personality, honestly. She comes off as kind of try-hardy with a desperate need to be "hip". Could be her voice actress.

Yeah, lilith in Bl1 is my favorite char by far of all of them, followed by Mordecia in BL1.

Wasn't a big fan of Roland or Brick, they where still fun, but Lilith blew them (and pretty much everyone else) away. Mord was sweet for sniper rifle usage though (in combo with his hawk) and still quite fun.

I own, but have not played hardly any of the presequel. We are probably going to play BL1 next and finish with the pre-sequel. Not sure if I'll like any of those chars, but I doubt I'll like them more then Lilith. She was so boss in BL1.

And yeah, her personality in 2 kinda blows:(

In Borderlands, I originally liked Mordecai, but Bloodwing wasn't doing much damage later. Brick was brutal. I punched The Destroyer to death in two seconds flat.

I think the only one I don't like is Lilith, because I don't care for elemental weapons all that much in the first game. I might have a corrosive or explosive weapon for heavily armoured enemies, but that is it. My main weapon there tends to be S&S or Atlus support rifles with a large clip. My PS3 Roland is lucky enough to have an Atlus one with a large clip (about 80 - 90 shots unaltered, and more than 200 with all the stuff I have boosting it, and reload times are still quick) but on PC, I haven't gotten so lucky with finding a suitable Atlus, so S&S all the way despite slower reloads.

Pre Sequel, I admit I didn't like most of the playable characters, though Wilhelm is easily best of the bunch. Awesome action skill. Only character I've beaten the game with.

I loved Lilith so much better then Zero in Bl2, cause she can't be hurt at all when phased (zero can still be shot, hit by aoe attacks etc...blah).

She was super fast, impossible to kill, and her damage was pretty great. Was alway shard to play the other chars, but Mord at least specialized a bit better in sniper rifles and my favorite, revolvers.

Lilith was great at SMGs but I never liked them much.

Revolvers are my favorite weapons in both games, and honestly Salvador rocks them pretty freaking hard (Dual wielding, get the 2 of the same type bonus etc....so yummalicious).

I don't like Zer0 either. :P

Took me years to go after his action skill achievement. And I still need Salvador's achievement as well. Only one left to unlock.

Lilith can be played just fine without elemental weapons. I'm a stat monkey, so I don't usually bother with them.

She's ridiculous by the time she hits level 30-ish. She practically becomes a walking rainbow of death that is both immune to damage and constantly healing. Combine inner glow with a shield of either Quick or Very Quick healing and her survivability is second to none; especially since she's got virtually no cooldown.

I didn't like the BL2 Vault Hunters nearly as much as the first game's. Salvador had the most appeal, but was completely underwhelming. The only fun I had was playing with Axton. But Gaige came out and I like her more than anyone that isn't Lilith. Her robot is pretty freakin' great.

I'm actually surprised to see so much love for Gaige's anarchy tree. I have yet to even touch it.

Anarchy is pretty insane, but I'm trying out Krieg today lol.

But yeah, Lilith in the first game was boss.....a blast to play as well.
