Watching The Room while drinking is the best.

Not like, getting trashed, but you and some friends having one or two drinks is so perfect.

My friend group that I introduced to The Room actually went to NYC and saw a screening of it that was HOSTED BY TOMMY WISEAU and I was so pissed and jealous. They got to meet him and everything.

according to wikipedia many people who worked on the movie thought he got the money from criminal activities, but sestero doubts this.

eh, i wouldn't go THAT far. perhaps i like plan 9 better because it's so diverse in the ways it screws up, while in the room it's mainly "the acting is terrible and the story and dialogue are terrible and make no sense." and ed wood (the movie) contributed to my appreciation for plan 9. also, wiseau tried harder to get it right - he actually took multiple takes and overdubbed many of the lines. wood's "let's just use the first take and never look back" mentality makes plan 9 a crazier movie.

both plan 9 and the room are probably the most enjoyable "so bad it's good" movies out there, though.

i got an ed wood-ish vibe from the disaster artist teaser, btw. very hyped for this movie.

Well, here's the thing about things hosted by Tommy Wiseau. He's done panels and stuff and opened it up for questioning. People then ask a question and he goes "Haha, thank you. Next question." And he doesn't answer a single question. He doesn't understand how questions work.

I cannot get behind Plan 9. Maybe I'd need to revisit Ed Wood, but Plan 9 is just so boring and frustrating to sit through. Went to a Rifftrax years ago and it was just impossible.

Manos: The Hands of Fate, Miami Connection, and The Room are my top three. Kinda want to add Puma man and The Identical
