On to another matter, so I can try my best not to say anything too insulting to the hosts.
Who is up for a Year of Villains 2.0 next year? I know everyone has their #1 they're not gonna drop, and the niche faves they want not booted, but is anyone interested? Beyond the boot rounds and besides your #1, who wants to go all in on the villains next year with me? Barbossa deserves a lot better than this and for some reason he always ends up having this happen to him. But in general villains again are doing poorly, so who's in?! --- :> Truly smilin' ... That quote pretty much says it all honestly. Most of those are not even villains at all (baseball games don't count, and in universe villains that are main protagonists don't either), and some are really suspect ones with barely any screen time or relevance. Broadly popular ones have really failed this year other than Hades, Frollo and Scar. That is literally it from the strain of true classic Disney villains to me.

That's to say that obviously, Davy Jones is a fantastic villain with a lot of depth to his character. Chernabog and Pete are fine enough, because they're honest classics to the genre. Lotso is great but doesn't need a villain run to do well, but I'd include him. Iago is okay, though he's kinda quasi-villain because of the number of appearances he makes as a hero.
This is honestly like the worst year for villains, maybe ever. I didn't realize how bad this really was until your post, wow. John Silver and Ralph are not even remotely villains, they're anti-heroes and even that doesn't really describe Ralph at all. Christopher Robin obviously isn't either, in universe. I can't really speak to Mr. Dark, having not seen that and having my only experience being a play on the character from Rick and Morty. Sa'luk is a really bad villain though, like even worse than some of the Aladdin series villains; all of them in fact. Even Jason Alexander. He is so forgettable, I mean if you wanted someone from extended Aladdin films Cassim is a lot more interesting and dynamic as a character. Zurg is barely a villain and only really is so in Buzz Lightyear's show. In Toy Story itself he is such an afterthought, so much so he was almost entirely omitted from Toy Story 3 because no one cared. Negaduck is unfortunately the worst of Darkwing's villains I think, then again I really only liked Bushroot because he had like, an arc. And well that covers it pretty much. Christopher Robin was a bit of a joke (honestly saved him because Christopher Robin/Robin Hood combo too good, why did you guys kill poor Robin Hood?) but don't knock Chernabog. Guy is legit an A+ Villain.
