I get per diem, but I really don't want to be eating out every night.

Yeah, anything you can fit in a fridge is a good way to go, since you should at least have that.
You can also use your per diem on something that you know will have a lot of leftovers - I can usually make a calzone 3 lunches, for example. Calzones are dense enough and not too bready that they reheat okay in the microwave, too. To that end: some of those Campbell's microwaveable soups could be good choices to go with some sandwiches, or to have by themselves --- "Mighty boobs." - Vlado ... Copied to Clipboard!

Crock pot, toaster oven if you have it. Are you not staying in one of those long term hotels? They usually have kitchenettes.
