Got an email saying I'm required to show up tomorrow. I don't live there anymore, I moved.

I'm only 40 minutes away, but am I boned if I don't go? I called the number I found and left a message explaining.

When I got called in for jury duty I just read my Kindle the entire time and ignored everything, obv. wasn't picked. Don't have the balls to do more than that.

I mean, not only is it 40 minutes away, and I don't reside in the county, but I also have work tomorrow afternoon. Like... unless there is a genuine threat of a hefty fine or incarceration, I'm hoping calling the night prior and explaining will do the trick.

I have to think not even being a citizen of the county disqualifies me anyway.

just try calling the number on whatever notice you got and leave a message

I remember I got dogged for jury duty right after I registered to vote when I was 18. I kept writing letters saying I was a full time student but every year, I got the same letter.

Finally when I was 22, I just went but got released before any meeting. Kinda boring and anticlimactic.

FYI they didn't even ask for proof, just called me back, updated my info and said I'm released.

But then I yelled "AM I BEING DETAINED" and smacked my head against the phone repeatedly and now I'm under house arrest

I had grand jury which is when they call you from every county to go do jury duty

because I am salaried my boss didn't ask for the papers I would just not go into work when jury duty was canceled and it was amazing

also we usually got let out in a couple hours so it wasn't too bad. I actually miss jury duty

If you live up north, all you gotta do is wear a confederate flag shirt and you get booted off jury immediately.

if you live down south, wear an obama change shirt or a hillary 2016 shirt.
