Fun game. Isn't perfect. Gameplay is a blast but I feel like some of the ideas were pretty underdeveloped. Still played the shit out of it. High hopes for shadow of war.

so far im having fun with the game

looks like the devs worked really hard to make a comprehensive system for how the gameplay will work. nemesis system, stealth, climbing, upgrades, etc it's all there, which is neat.

story is pretty lame so far and i am already kind of sick of just killing generic orcs all the time, but for $4 this is a solid deal

I actually had a lot of fun with the game, but looking back the nemesis system wasn't nearly as amazing as I thought it was at release.

I know some found it annoying, but I thought it was actually pretty cool when I had a certain orc that just would not fucking die., kept coming back to life with all his pieces just stitched back on, and by the end of the game he was immune to nearly everything and was actively following me around looking for revenge.

If you cut off their head during a combat execution they won't come back. If you don't there's a chance they'll come back better.

Also I proc'd a Captain whose only known weakness is fear of the Morgai flies. Literally immune to stealth, ranged, and combat finishers. And he has a fucking shield to boot.

If you cut off their head during a combat execution they won't come back. If you don't there's a chance they'll come back better.

also i can already see the immunities of the Captains becoming a problem later in the game. So far most of the guys im fighting are mostly just immune to range or jumping over them, but i can see this being a pretty stupid example of artificial difficulty if it keeps ramping up what they're immune to. itd be better if they just made the enemies stronger instead of nerfing your shit

I'm positive my guy survived getting his head cut off. He even had a cheeky comment about it when he came back from it.

To be fair, you become ridiculously OP by the end of the game. There really was no other way to do it.

Execution at the end of a sword fight results in decapitation IIRC.

Not always. You can execute them and only stab them through the head. I think there's a certain point where it results in decapitation.
