It was one of the most significant years of my life.

After a great semester of college, I had found out about the website Conceptart while browsing the internet. I posted some manga-style drawings and was heavily criticized for their poor quality. Someone mentioned the concept of life drawing, and after that I started going to life drawing sessions.

A girl I had liked since high school became eager to go to those sessions with me, but then ended up changing her mind for a reason that I felt didn't make much sense (poor grades in college). We later got into an argument and I then started going to an actual art school to take my mind off of it. I found out about a particular artist and style while there and my entire direction in art changed.

Also, I got high-speed internet after having dial-up for 10+ years.

Finished my education, got my first real job, met my wife (though we didn't start dating until 2008). Pretty big year!

Learning Pokemon competitive battling at the age of 11-12, first time using internet forums, joined GameFAQs for the first time, and had a good time on the DP Trading boards.

Also, at one of the drawing sessions this girl seemed unusually interested in me. She actually changed her seat from across the room to sit directly next to me, then kept complimenting my terrible drawings.

She actually said that she would only come back the next week if I did, but I got sick and couldn't make it the next week. I never saw her again in the weeks after that. I wonder if we would have eventually ended up dating.

My mom showed me how to get there via public

Started college in September, I remember the day we gathered outside. Someone kissed their kid on the head.

I have several memories of my first semester of college and I don't feel like typing them all out.

i was in school doing general education stuff. i would hang out with my friends sparsely. i remember i would drive down to San Jose to pick up my friend. then i realized they only called me when he/they needed a ride cuz i had a car. i dont hang out with those guys anymore.

for the most part, i stayed in my parents garage trolli--- i mean browsing CE and posting about white girls. i hadn't discovered koreans yet.

thanks. i never truly recovered from that year. I've been on all types of prescription drugs since that year and life didn't turn out the way i planned, but i'm making it.

Think i went to the theater for the first time and watched the Simpsons movie. also only just completed secondary school and started to move up to college. (isn't that high school in the US?) barely remember anything else other than playing DS/GBA games, and maybe doodling a bit. The stuff i drew was really low quality, it's no wonder i dropped out of art college after a few years because the teacher/advisor guy says it was alright if i changed courses.

Came back in September after i changed course only to discover that i wasn't accepted. pretty much the end now.

Nah, I don't even have an Xbox anymore. My old 360 broke. I play on steam mostly now. But lately I've been playing BotW on my WiiU, which is the only console I have

Community college dropout with a dead-end retail job and no hope of a better life.

Working at a factory, eating cold pizza, and taking sleeping pills to get to bed at night.

Started the year living on the southern coast by Acapulco, moved back the the states in April and worked construction for a few months. Moved to Las Vegas in June and started my three years living there. 2007 was a pretty good year for me thinking back on it.

I miss it all so much.

I feel like my present life is like a nightmare of life from back then.
