1) You can't make money off of it, but it also won't cost you anything
2) You can't use it to significantly change the life of you or anyone else

I would get nice, big apartment penthouse in a nice city, like LA. With a nice, beautiful view of the city. This is all I've ever wanted, actually.

Getting a nice, free penthouse seems pretty significant.

Not paying rent and having a nice home to come back to in a nice part of the city doesn't make your life easier? also is la the city you currently live in? Moving to la alone would be pretty significant wouldn't it?

What, you already have a nice penthouse that you don't have to pay rent for?

Wouldn't something we want more than anything else significantly change our life by default? The only thing that would have a minimal impact on life would be ephemeral things like a single meal.

That makes this choice hard. I mean if I toned up that could change my life significantly. If I eat better that could too. Possessions could also. Such as owning a house, car or anything big like that. I guess I'd say a good paying job but even that would change my life significantly. I guess I've come to the conclusion that I don't really want anything unless it has a significant impact on my life.

Agreed.

I could ask for my teeth back (had several out over the years) but that would significantly change my life as I would be able to eat fully again.

I could ask for perfect eyesight ( I am blind as a bat without my glasses) but again that would significantly change my life.

So because of rule 2 I can't think of anything that wouldn't change my life significantly).

Rule #2 makes this kinda tricky. Perfect eyesight would be nice. I don't think that's too significant since all I'll be doing is putting my glasses away. Or maybe the endurance to run a 4 minute mile.

So, I can choose a house? I was going to say that, but I feel having a place of my own would significantly change my life and my parent's life. So... Dunno if I can choose that.

If not a house, then I guess a new car. It'd make things much easier than having to borrow the car that's supposedly already mine from my parents when I want to go somewhere.

Can't you get part dentures or something man? I've got those myself on my bottom teeth. I can eat better and it looks better too(not that many folk notice bottom teeth much).

A rewind button would be pretty cool, so I could effectively live longer. Wouldn't necessarily be a significant change if I didn't abuse it to win the lotto or something huge.

Either that or being able to delete/restore peoples' memories about specific events. Of course, the second I get a power like that I'd go from Lawful/Neutral to Chaotic/Evil. Pretty much every power messing with peoples' minds -- right down to a jedi mind trick power of suggestion -- seems geared for evil.

I've also always wanted a mansion which I could enter or exit from any door on the planet, including just drawings. Can't remember what put the idea in my head, although I had it before seeing The Lost Room.
