@helly

Perhaps you could cure it with a Light Amplification Stimulated Emission Radiation beam. I have heard a low powered one is great for indigestion.

The ph of milk is 6.4 to 6.8 so while very slightly more acidic than water, it's a very weak acid. Weak acids tend to act like strong bases when added to strong acids like stomach acid.

Milk is a powerful acid, this is why it is used in so many cleaning products and why cows are so clean

Except they do, the term to learn is amphoterism, molecules that can act like an acid or a base. Water is one such molecule.

Now, I'm not saying the acid in milk is amphoteric or a good choice to relieve heartburn but "milk may temporarily buffer stomach acid, nutrients in milk, particularly fat, will stimulate the stomach to produce more acid." http://www.webmd.boots.com/heartburn-gord/guide/natural-remedies-heartburn

Try low fat or skim milk. Or take a tums or drink lemon water (it actually works due to amphoterism) and eat better.

Some of the 9 million pills I take now adays cause heartburn and are supposed to be taken with food (But I never do because I can't eat anything for a few hours after waking up, makes me sick).

Milk can help a bit with that, even if it doesn't make scientific sense. It does work to some degree, no clue why.

Bread is better but again, just don't like to eat for awhile after waking up. Orange juice is more acidic then milk and doesn't work at all (which is too bad as I love freshly squeezed OJ in the morning.

In general I go with a nice black (english morning) tea with a bit of creamer and sugar, and that seems to do the trick as well (I put alot of creamer in my tea).

I take Zantac and it works instantly whenever I have a heartburn. Used to take tums but I prefer the pill to the chalky taste of tums
