saspa 07/08/17 2:52:56 AM #1:	On my jogging route there's a kitten that literally won't stop meowing, and it's breaking my heart. Another time there was a kitten, who are usually afraid of humans and run away, that started following me home just so it would have someone to take care of it. Dikitain 07/08/17 1:14:16 PM #11:	The thing you got to realize about stray cats (as opposed to stray dogs) is that they probably aren't starving by any means. Even if no humans are feeding them, they are probably hunting field mice or birds. The only thing they are doing is trying to find a nicer situation. I like having stray cats in my neighborhood because they keep the field mice population down. I don't give them food, but they do have beds on my porch if they want a comfortable place to sleep. --- I am a senior software engineer. Apparently it's owners got a puppy, the cat wouldn't return home so they moved away and left it. Due to this I've no issue feeding her. What you're looking for are shelters that don't kill for space or length of stay. While they're not all shelters, many are like this, and many more are working towards that goal.
