What does it mean if they tell you that they still have interviews to do and they'll let you know sometime next week, but also tell you about all of the job duties and the pay? I think I did pretty well on the interview so I might be the top pick unless someone better comes along, but I dunno. What do you guys think?

I just had an interview and the same thing happened. We had a good conversation, I told him how much I was looking for pay wise, what I wanted to do in the future, what my experience was, we talked about sports, it all went very well (I am very charming) and then he said he had a couple more interviews and there was one other candidate that he had already interviewed and liked.

Got a call to do a background check about two days later. Waiting for the callback from that.

That's usually a good sign, not a guarantee.

Doesn't mean much except that they haven't automatically ruled you out. At the very least, they gave you a
timeline so there's that.

Usually they don't talk pay during an interview unless it's a really low-level position. In general, it means you might hear back from them next week (or the week after) or might not hear back from them at all.
