In it they said they were using South Park as a vehicle to launch their movie directing career, and in 20 years we would look back on it as "the show they did before they became famous movie directors". Or something like that, I don't remember the exact wording. Still, it is kind of funny to see it still going after they wanted to kill it just a couple years into it's run. --- I am a senior software engineer. Theres so many people going after trump they feel they dont need to give their take, plus they did make fun of trump, via mr garrison recently, too. It managed to stay pretty strong into season 18, with only 1 and 16 not being very interesting now, but 19 was fairly mixed (though alright) and 20 was hot garbage... What has really diminished my interest in South Park is the reliance on current events to tell a story. It makes for less originality and a product that will age very horribly. I was just trying to give them twice as much time as they normally get. Even the worst South Park episodes are at least mildly amusing, so I figured doubling the time would be enough. Honetly, South Park has some genius episodes but it's never really been one of my favorites. The first movie is still a top five animated movie ever for me though. That movie was truly magnificent.
