I will always remember fireflies during dusk/night during the summertime and playing with my friends. Ghosts in the graveyard and tag and stuff. Grew up until I was 7 in the country outside of St. Louis.

Real talk, my family came to the U.S. from the Canary Islands a few generations ago. We've been trying to arrange a big family trip back there as kind of a return "home" and as kind of a bonding experience, but no one's schedules can ever fit. But I've always wanted to go. How is it over there?

I was born in bridgeport connecticut, but we moved down to south carolina when I was like 5, so I grew up in south carolina.

It is as you see.....a whole lotta' nothing. I grew up in probably one of the most boring regions of the united states, lmao. *And yes, while columbia and myrtle beach south carolina is cool, I did not live at those places, and usually only visited those spots on special occasions coming up =(* I grew up in some no-name boring county where there is a lot of fields, probably like, old slave houses, farms, and dudes riding horses.

I've been to one of the Islands, Lanzarote, on vacation and it was really nice. The nature is beautiful in a harsh rocky kind of way. Tourism is their main source of income so there are lots of hotel complexes but we rented a car one day and drove around the island so we got to see more than just the hotel and the local beach. The architecture felt pretty Spanish (not surprising though considering the islands are Spanish territory).

I have very fond memories of that trip because we went for two weeks in November and there was sleet on our way to the airport and a couple of hours later... 27C AND SUNSHINE.
