It doesn't matter how good your points are, it's a complete waste of time. On the other hand if you are with a group of people that don't just spout nonsense and are at least SLIGHTLY open to the possibility that their view is not 100% infallible, it might be worthwhile to have such a conversation. CE is full of the first type of people as is the vast majority of the internet which is why such discussion is pointless the majority of the time.
