Worst part about it was that it's only a Zelda game in name. The progression of the series into this feels unnatural, and it removes key elements that made the series so amazing to me. It sucks because ALBW proved you can make a formula refreshing and innovative without completely reworking it. But the ridiculous reception probably means we're gonna see this "new" formula done for a while, until fans begin to inevitably complain about how stale and tired it is.

And on the actual topic... I think every Zelda game feels like a Miyazaki film. At least the good ones do.

I am hopeful about this because every time the fans have had a huge reaction to a Zelda game, positive or negative, Nintendo has always shown to go in a totally different direction for the next one. They don't really seems to sway towards public favor like that.

Although I did hear that the Zelda team this time was very different with a lot of new devs, so maybe that will change...

Have you been to the forest yet? The track there sounds like pure Hisaishi. I think that environment really pulls of the Miyazaki feel the best (though to be fair, forest spirits are so Japan).

I have not! That sounds exciting! I have beaten the elephant divine beast and I have about 8 hearts. My focus has been on shrines and towers. I need 13 hearts to get the Master Sword right?

I have not! That sounds exciting! I have beaten the elephant divine beast and I have about 8 hearts. My focus has been on shrines and towers. I need 13 hearts to get the Master Sword right?

Something like that. I didn't really keep too heavy of track.

And you can go visit it and not get the Master Sword right away. It's easy to warp back to.
