Should have Nintendo set up an a virtual eshop for the SNES and NES portables? They are not making money off of Ebay, Amazon, and Retro game stores selling used 8-bit and 16-bit games. They could make a TON of money from people buying TMNT: Turtles in Time ALONE! SNES Portable ESHOP could sell both popular (Super Mario World) and obscure titles (Sonic Blast Man 2). And since neither their competitors have any good Power ranger games, they could capitalize on people's nostalgia by releasing all 3 Mighty Morphin Power Ranger SNES games.

I forgot about the Switch. A Theoretical VC with many SNES and NES games on Switch would be more feasible than just having ports on 2 gimmick retro ports.

I still have my SNES collection and a system called Retcon 3 that plays Genesis, NES, and SNES cartridges.

or you can buy a little machine for $60 that has 30 titles and $80 for $20.

Why Nintendo doesn't just release all their VC games at once at a low price and drips them out slowly per console release instead is a financial mystery. They are all just run off of an emulator so they don't need porting.

By refusing to sell them conveniently people instead just pirate the games and run them off of emulators on their phone or PC.

I've heard that Nintendo usually tailors each emulator to the game in question, to ensure that everything runs smoothly.
