to judge them harshly is missing the point

of course its not amazing pizza, its fucking 5 bucks

but sometimes you just need a quick cheap pizza for a get together or to fulfill a craving



I don't understand why people expect so much out of them and call them garbage

I mean, it's pizza, so it's hard to fuck up. And it's cheap pizza, so expectations are even lower.

I think if you go into it expecting a world-class, phenomenal product you're going to be disappointed, but if you accept that you can get a whole pizza for five bucks and temper your expectations accordingly you'll enjoy it for what it is.

Depends on who makes it really. Sometimes it's pretty amazing, sometimes it seems like it's 2-3 days old and sometimes it has so much sauce it's disgusting. I usually like to call ahead and have them make a hot-n-ready plain cheese pizza. They technically make them, but rarely ever actually have any to sell so when you do it that way it's the same price, but better quality because it's super fresh.

Yeah I believe most people who hate Little Caesars just have bad Little Caesars. Like I've heard people say it's worse than bad frozen pizza, or cardboard with ketchup, and that really shouldn't be the case. More than any other pizza place I've had I feel the quality there varies. I think they may be bad at teaching their employees how to make pizza or establishing a standard or whatever.

Also I believe Little Caesars is possibly given incentive to like cook Hot N Readys for the minimal time possible if there's a high customer throughput resulting in undercooked Pizzas if you're unlucky-- my current local Little Caesars I actually make a point to call my order in before going over even if it's a Hot N Ready because when I've done that I've never gotten an undercooked one-- not sure if that's just luck or actually a good tactic but I'll stick with it. Most local Little Caesars I haven't actually had that issue, though.

Sbarros is okay. It's perfectly generic, inoffensive fast food pizza whose sole discriminating factor is large slice size.

Oh yeah they have some pretty decent non-pizza food too. I like those cheesy bread sticks and their regular crazy bread isn't too bad either. For the price you pay it's hard to beat. They're like the McDonalds of pizza.

Right. It's arguably the best product value in the United States - that rating would be an easy 10 for me - but I was referring primarily to the quality of the food itself.

I must have a really great Little Ceasar's near me or something. Because I like it better than any of the chain pizzas, and WAY better than any of the crappy frozen ones. And you can't beat the price. I mean it's obviously not as good as some of the local places, but for $5.00 and being able to walk in, and then walk out? I'll take it.

Which isn't saying much, but those things are pretty darn good for their price.

Taste is a 6

Probably a 5/10 as pizza, but an easy 8/10 deal especially for how filling it is. And the taste is fine, it's just that you can do much, much better

I'd actually take Little Caesar's over Sbarro- every time I get Sbarro the crust is super burnt.

The best Little Caesars I've had was probably better than every chain pizza place I've had other than Papa Johns, which is like 3x the price. Even ignoring the price factor it was definitely better than Dominos, Pizza Hut, etc. Unfortunately I don't live by that one anymore. The local one now is... I prefer some expensive Frozen Pizzas to it, but it's decent and better than the cheap Frozen Pizzas. Probably better than Dominos too.

The worst was... well, still not cardboard tier but below "good frozen pizza" tier. Still not the worst pizza I've ever had by a longshot though. That goes to Wild Mike's frozen pizza, Totino's, or a local place that went out of business like 20 years ago called "Pizza Express", if we ignore the obvious terrible cafeteria pizza.

Overall I'd put the range of Little Caesars I've had at an average of like 4-8 I think. Current one being a 6ish when the pizza is actually cooked, like a 3 otherwise.

I think we're all ignoring that they do have some specialty, non-hot-n-ready pizzas. Those are like an 8. The hot-n-readys are at best a 5 though.

I think it's actually because during the "hot and ready" hours, they batch cook a ton of them and then sit them in the hotboxes so they are both "hot" and "ready."

Except because they expect them to sit there for a while they undercook them and expect them to 'finish' in the hotboxes.

At least in my experience.
