We definitely got the better scenario here. A ton goes down in the plot on Disc 2. It's rushed desperately but you're shipped to various dungeons you do gain full world map control again by the end.

There are several big scenes which lack the appropriate punch because the narration segments had to gloss over detail, or because there's a surrealist start background as we zoom in something in media res, but we get the whole story and we still get the big picture along the way. There's even some very solid character development.

I am surprised we got as much of disc 2 as we did
though I do wish we could have seen what the actual dungeons and battles for some plot elements would have looked like
the final dungeon was just Merkava(I think thats what it was called, I cant keep all badly translated bible references straight) recycled for instance

Was.....this a new explanation? This is exactly how it was explained to me years ago. Was that just conjecture and only now we have real confirmation? Always seemed super obvious that this was the case.
