No, the demographic projections show the black population to stay flat or decline as a total percentage. The increase comes from the growing Hispanic group.

Pretty sure both the white and black demographic has been on the decline the past 20 years due to mass immigration (of non-white, non-black people)

it's shakey. Asians don't really vote that democratically and Latinos on average are very religious/catholic. Cubans are outright Republican, but Mexicans and other groups don't vote as liberally as you would think.

I can't imagine they like Trump though, but who knows. Trump did win Florida

I suspect they'll begin to draw a larger portion of the indian and asian demographic as democrats push them into the "entitled whites" category and disenfranchise them. Republicans are bad at courting minorities, but Democrats are bad at courting the majority, and that's a problem when it comes time to actually vote.

What do you do for work?

I can't tell if you have an outlandish personality or if this is just a gimmick.

It goes either way on any given day. You mentioned you work in the mental health industry though, what do you do if you don't mind me asking?

If I had to be truthful I'm guessing an administration position or something similar and that you're under 21, likely closer to 18-19 though I could obviously be way off.

There is already a large enough black population within voting age to completely destroy the GOP, as it currently is. The problem is the lack of political drive, caused by a variety of historically constructed factors. That's why it's important for teachers to do their jobs and help to flourish their class conscience. Education is key to wiping out extreme conservatism.

Ironically, it just ends at "charismatic" with Obama, because his policies don't do anything to challenge the status quo. He is in bed with corporate America. Old white Bernie Sanders has done more in his life for african americans than Obama could ever dream of.

this, it's why the GOP was pushing people with latino roots so hard last election - ted cruz, marco rubio, jeb bush (latino wife and gov of florida), etc

hispanics in the US are on the rise and they tend to be diverse in how they vote (ex: cubans actually tend to vote republican and a lot of people say they were very influential in getting GWB elected after they were pissed at the Elian Gonzales thing)

I was just curious. I specifically wanted to clarify for any future interactions what you actually do in the mental health field since you stated you had a good understanding of the field since you work in it. I still stand by my original statement of not believing you know very much about the field (aside from administrative/billing) due to things you've stated (mentioned in the previous posts).

The age part was needless, I just couldn't pin down if you were making outlandish comments or if you were just out of high school and had that little life experience.

Oh trust me I know full well I wouldn't.

I also am not opposed to health assessments for them, the problem is that's not really addressing the problem in a meaningful way, it's slapping a bandaid (a poor one at that) on it and hoping it goes away.

Unless they completely overhaul and refine mental health screening into something that's a good indicator for these types of unstable individuals implementing it would do very little for the work required to do so.

We can do it, sure I wouldn't care, but that's why we haven't yet and why so many aren't in a rush to do so.

The electoral college, thankfully, makes sure we don't get stuck with more than eight years of democrats. Also, plenty (as in hundreds of thousands) of African American voters realize that the democrats keep them in horrible conditions and refuse to help after promising unrealistic things
