Because it can readily switch between being used as a portable system and being used as a console. The joke doesn't really work when there is actually a clear practical reason for the name (as distinct from marketing buzzwords that don't actually mean anything).

For me it's stupid, but for my friends with kids it's perfect because they can just pick up and go when the little ones or the wife wants to use the TV. It's also great for jobs where you have to fly a lot.
