It's a movie about a (maybe) psychopath if you read the book.

The movie tends to imply the events happened. It throws breadcrumbs that they didn't. But I wouldn't call a movie where people are murdered horrifically by a serial killer a thriller. Like James Bond and every book based move with the exception of Rambo the book is better. (I love movies but people also should respect the written word which they don't and no I'm not hank moody.)

Are you imposing the books parameters on the movie (which judging by your inciteful comments you probably read), or taking it solely from the movie?
