Yu with his Rank 5 Understanding tries to console her a bit, saying that she had no choice it was a battle-- Tira produces a bloody Troopa Shell, empty of Troopa, and hisses about how this is not her best work!?!?! CAN'T YOU SEE!? IT SQUIRMED OUT! GOT AWAY!?! WHY DO THEY GO SLIDING OUT SO FAR AFTER GETTING BOPPED!?

Yu backs off, slowly, with more appreciation of just how sane the peppy girl obsessed with the spaceship really was

Despite walking away, Yu's mind dwelled upon that crazy woman who'd been badgering him. There was something authentic about her. Her true self was always on display for everyone to see. In some ways, Yu admired that, and his mind began to wander back to weeks ago, when the tournament was hosted, and he couldn't fight along with his... friends? Were they friends? These people are strange and have only been known a short time, but, through these battles and moments of peace shared, they were definitely his friends. The fear of them getting seriously injured as he watched made him sure of that.

Something Yu had long since... buried. began to surface. It was all so clear, now! Why not be, as he'd put it, 'authentic'? And so he vowed from this day on that he would not be forced to watch from the sidelines. Never again. He would never be at risk of being alone again. He would protect them... all of them... even the scary galaxy destroying murderbot. Whether they wanted it or not. By any means necessary.



Meanwhile in a completely unrelated event, Kazuma Kiryu loses 50gp at the casino and has to brawl with some Yakuza and raging bulls for a while.

my reasoning.

1) most teams are absolute garbage anyway
2) why the hell not?
3) theres so many OP as heck mercs in the pool you goons didn't draft
4) i have personal reasons so lopen gets angry
5) an extra slot makes your team better WITH 5 redrafts in general
