I am not okay with his presidency in a vacuum. God no, it has the potential to be the worst presidency in the past 160 years. Very bad, for sure. But I also think in a broader context there should be merits to this presidency if it brings awareness to more people. If people see that someone on the right preyed on their hopes, rather than understanding them. The left is often out of touch, and the right is too but Trump faked concern. I was very much talking on a broad basis of what a terrible presidency might be able to do for the country in a positive light.

Keep in mind I also believe presidents are not very important until they have to nominate supreme court justices (so in that sense, ouch)

I don't pretend to be unbiased. My rant towards Chris was an in general annoyance at the situation. There's really nothing that can be done to convince me about the value of Conservatives in government or sway me from the belief that Conservatives themselves have a higher tendancy to just be bad people, but I'm at peace with that as long as I can admit it. Not that Liberals aren't often wrong themselves, but they have the potential to be right, while in my entire lifetime of experience conservatives do not.

I only care about social issues in governemnt, and don't factor in ANYTHING else, which surely had made a huge mark on my stance.

I am fully aware that this makes me look bad, but I'd rather look bad then lie and pretend to be unbiased. I'm not Ulti. If I'm shit I'm gonna be honest about it.

I get what you're saying there, I do... but fuck did the office of the president become worthless for some years in the mid 19th century. All I am saying here is that this is not the worst thing. Also it depends on the classified information. I haven't read a lot on that particular story but most classified information probably means very little in the long run. Also if Trump is colluding I mean... he's really bad at it and the FBI now has a bone to pick, so I have faith in their ability to uncover that (seriously, firing Comey only pissed them off I imagine.)

Perhaps this is true for me too. I should clarify that I've never met another open conservative that I respect. I also should clarify that because I only consider social issues in government that my definition of conservative might be much more narrow than yours.

Recklessly sharing information with other government powers - especially ones we're not allied with - can be dangerous, actually. Not necessarily evil by itself, just naive.

But what makes it evil is the hypocrisy. Someone who ran on a platform that bashed Clinton for supposed recklessness with state secrets is now recklessly sharing state secrets... with a foreign power that there is increasing evidence of collusion with in order for him to gain the presidency.

And bearing in mind, this is something we haven't even shared with our allies yet. And Trump decided that Russia took first priority before they did.

Imagine if Clinton had done this exact same thing - you guys would be a lot more outraged than we are because it would confirm that you were right about her being reckless with state secrets.
