We talking specifically tacos or, as the title says, are you more asking about the flour/corn tortilla in general? I usually prefer the soft tortillas as you'll find me stuffing my food hole with burritos and their ilk. If we're only talking tacos as folded in half and stuffed with meat/toppings, then I'll have to go with the traditional hard shell.

soft.

I've never had a taco. I love crisps though and hard taco shells from what I can gather are basically that so they get my vote.
