18 y/o Anna Hayes from Lake Village, Arkanas, whose text with her racist dad went viral after she invited her black friend to Prom has revealed that he had DISOWNED her over that decision!!

It happened last week after she posted the shocking exchange between her and her father about her going to Prom with her black friend, Phillip Freeman and was LIVID when he saw the photos of them together and said he was disowning her and called both her and her date heartbreakingly offensive names!!

Anna doesn't live with her Dad anymore but she shared pics of her and Phillip on her FB to her father's dismay as she called Phillip "super cute" and "really funny"..but her Dad, who is vocally racist saw them and said "We are done. I won't be coming to your graduation. Nor will i pay for your college. Go live with your n word"

Anna and her now estranged father have had a strained relationship for years since her parents divorced and lived briefly with him has a child but lived with her mom for most of her years.

Anna wrote "I went to prom with a black guy so that's a problem..racist much". He says "Yes i am. Go ahead and F***** wh*** leave me out of it"

He was also cancelling her cell phone and car insurance after she had said she did nothing wrong and he continues with "Shut the f*** up, you have no right to talk to me anymore. go live with the (insert n word) your pictures are already off my walls. You can go to hell. What the f*** is wrong with you? you want to mingle with subhumans, i'll treat you accordingly"

Anna knew of her father's racist past but found it incredibly sad when he reacted so violently..

Anna said "He has told me that if i ever dated a black guy that i will and would be dead to him. I stood my ground for what i believe in. He has called me several horrible things before. This just hurt more because i can not believe how anyone can hate someone they don't even know because of their skin colour"

Anna released the text and said "It's important for people to see that racism is very much alive" and Anna said she DOESN'T CARE that her dad disowned her!!

That's harsh. If the person is good to your child, who cares? My grandma probably would've died or filled with quiet resentment if I'd dated a Jewish girl. I know when I was getting closer to a Korean girl 12~ years ago, my mom kept making passive aggressive comments to me about how I should basically "stick to my own", in different words. It turned out she was damaged goods and I broke it off, but I'm curious what would have happened. Ugh... it's ironic that the non-racist branch of my family is the German one.

To my mom's credit, she would not have cut me loose or been mean, she'd have just gone the Southern Belle route and been two-faced until begrudgingly accepting it. She denies being homophobic too, but there's a little bit of something there.

Yeah, I don't get what she was expecting. The warning signs seemed to be there. I'm not sure if she did it specifically to tick off her dad or not, but she had to have a pretty good idea of how he'd react. It's not pleasant, but it is what it is.
