I realize now that there aren't that many stables I even know, and a lot of those are cool ideas that were weakly executed. Oh well!

Welcome to the Tom 10 project, where I do a top 10, and you vote on your favorite! Ground rules:
-No stuffing or other jerkiness
-Polls last at least 24 hours, and will be started and closed at my convenience.
-Nominations are welcomed, but I will veto anything I don't know well or that somehow doesn't fit with my other ideas. Or if I just don't feel like if for whatever reason.

Social Outcasts - 21st century job squad. I don't like jobber stables; it makes a mockery out of the wrestlers involved. It's demeaning to be referred to on screen as a loser as they were. They never went anywhere with this angle either. Maybe this gimmick works for the likes of someone like Heath Slater, who basically embraces the idea of being a jobber to a degree and it could be the only thing that keeps him employed or for Curtis Axel, whom for all intents and purposes has floundered for years and probably just will never find something to do with himself but it was damaging for Bo Dallas and Adam Rose. Bo was over, and could have been an effectively used heel. He still probably could, he has the most talent out of the group. Adam Rose was saddled with a couple of horrible gimmicks but had a good look and could done a lot more.

Right to Censor - Effective jobber style heels I guess, they got old quick though.

Dungeon of Doom - Lol, maybe the WORST stable ever? I think X-Factor could even be twice as good.

Legacy - Poor man's Evolution. Randy can't lead groups and this proved that. Dibiase was flat as paper and Rhodes wasn't seasoned enough to carry both of these vacuums.

Fair enough, though I personally found it to be Slater's weakest storyline in the last five years

1. nWo - Yes it eventually got bloated with midcarder trash and run into the ground by refusing to disappear, but it was revolutionary for a while there. No other stable has come close to the threat level this one has.

2. Four Horsemen - Just a consistently strong and influential stable for a long long time, but never had that world domination feel to it that the nWo did. Maybe that was for the best for its longevity

3. Shield - Basically 'the Four Horsemen but less' in more ways than one, including number of members.

4. D-X - This was good when it was just HBK HHH and Chyna. As time went on you got more and more dick jokes less and less of a point to it existing. Suck it! is infamous but not really sure this stable ultimately did all that much for anyone involved or was in any real great storylines.

5. Nexus - Started out with a bang-- no real follow through. Could have been a great way to establish a ton of rookies at once but it was never really given the ball to run with. Having any hope for something good puts it in the top half of the list though.

6. Dungeon of Doom - Pointless and stupid, but the collection of ridiculous gimmicks like Loch Ness and the absurd music make me actually kinda like this. So bad it's good. Kinda.

7. Social Outcasts - Joke stable, and not a particularly good joke either. 3MB definitely better.

8. Right to Censor - Got heat, but I'm not sure it was the good kind. Stevie wasn't really fit for running a cult leader gimmick, so Venis and Goodfather felt particularly forced.

9. Legacy - This isn't a stable as much as Randy Orton and two mooks. I kinda think this hurt all parties involved.

10. nWo Wolfpac - Everything wrong with the nWo, in stable form. All nWo everything. Why am I watching nWo vs nWo on my WCW programming. This should've been like, a 3 month stable leading to the ultimate destruction and dissolution of the nWo. Also Luger and Sting shouldn't have been in it.

to be fair I was thinking more of the like two weeks where there were like....FOUR mooks :o Legacy and Nexus and RTC get points just for being neat ideas even if the execution was lacking. Also I realize some of my choices are better than others but there just ain't many options from which to choose >_> Evolution is boring imo

Kinda true. I do like RTC and Nexus a lot for the ideas (not so much Legacy). I'm trying to think what stables I actually like and it's definitely not that easy to make a list of 10 really good ones.
