I played a Gusto deck recently on YGO Duel Generation. If they ever made it to Duel Links, even partially but still with at least Sphreeze and Pilica, holy shit this game would break apart, especially cuz Megamorph exists

I unlocked Pegasus without even realising I had unlocked him lol.

Had a look at some Relinquished deck lists, and noticed a lot of inter-dimensional matter transporters. Man, people really start getting overprotective when it comes to their Relinquished.

That's cuz it protects Relinquished and resets his equipment, meaning you can just get a free destroy and another taking of the opponent monster.

Wouldn't that leave him equip-less at the end of the turn since the trap brings back the monster in the end phase, thus leaving him vulnerable?

people try to kill it by removing the equiped monster and attacking it

you use the trap to protect it or at the end of opponent turn to remove the equiped monster in case opponent summoned something youd want to steal

By the way, if anyone is not using it....the Dream Clown/Vassal Union Attack is an amazing way to farm Pegasus lvl 40. Usually get around 7,700 points.

I'm honestly just doing the Pegasus event for the coin/gem rewards. I really don't have any intention of using Relinquished in any of my decks because I'm not really a fan of ritual monsters. I mean, if I get enough points from the event to get one, that's cool and all. But I doubt I'll use it.

I'm guessing Duel Links will continue to add cards but not go into Synchro/Xyz territory for a while. Not for at least a year, if at all. That being said, if people stopped playing a game they legitimately enjoyed just because new stuff was added, I think that's just pathetic. It means they were never true fans to begin with.

Pokemon Go died long before Gen 2 was added. It died because there was like nothing to do in the game and they kept removing stuff before adding anything in. I don't see the same thing happening to Duel Links.

No duel links will stay longer because at then end of the day you dont need mobile data to duel the ai.

New cards and events plus free gems will keep people.

Goal is to get 2 effect cards on the field, that way you can destroy any card Pegasus puts out since he can't attack the first turn most of his cards are summoned. Then at the end, use the Vassal-Secrets-Union combo along with the fusion card/ritual card/Summoned Skull on the field as welll, get over 5,000 damage on the last turn and win duel.

Works most of the time, occasionally a bad hand will get you but the 7,700 points is worth it.

Thanks for posting. Most of it looks easy enough to acquire. Don't have a second Wild Tornado but it doesn't look like it was vital to the deck, can probably get by fine with a regular De-Spell if it comes down to it... But I don't have the Union Attack card which is, so there goes that lol.

Also, what skill is that? Haven't seen it before.

Of course I've heard those arguments. I've heard them so many times, that I'm sick of hearing about them. I so rarely say something like this... but I absolutely despise fans like that. I despise them like I despise people who say that Pokemon fans who say "everything after Gen 1 sucks" without even giving the later stuff a fair chance. "Fans" like that, blinded by nostalgia, saying that new things "ruined" the game just because they're not the same things they grew up with, aren't fans at all. If they were so quick to abandon the games they loved for something so trivial, they were never fans at all.

I may have over done it a bit lol.

so i feel like buying packs of old boxes is a bad habit

because the meta game changes with the new boxes, maybe its better to invest more in those than spending a ton to make sure you get all the UR's in the old boxes. Idk...

because i feel the meta game now is killing me.

If you think synchros was the beginning of the end for YGO, you never played YGO or even talked to a person who played YGO around this era. Synchros, by people who actually played the game til today, revitalized the series and was considering golden era due to probably the most fluid deck types (until the game went too archetype crazy and xyz happened) and a completely different facet to your strategy that a big monster can be created thru vastly more creative combos that were otherwise impossible before. Duel Links is sorta running out of gas. Special summoning and 4* beaters can only go so far, and rituals are basically like synchros anyways, meaning good ritual monsters like Relinquished can run an entire meta on its own. There's nothing more satisfying than getting a tuner and a non-tuner out in vastly creative ways and finding new ways to use really weak monsters to swing the game into your favor.

Not to mention one of the best synchros when it was first introduced was Stardust Dragon, who merely just has the effect of prevent one destroy effect at the cost of dismissing itself from the field until the beginning of the next turn. Simple but effective effects with creative ways to summon them. That's what synchros were

Yeah I didn't like TeleDAD. Pretty glad synchros took it over. Plant synchros were also considered one of the most strategic meta, too. Pretty much like the people who won the tournaments were always known to be really smart players

I agree, Synchros added a very interesting twist on the game. Xyz as well, until they ran completely out of control later on.

The last time I played in real life (I quit in late 2015, couldn't afford to keep playing) I used a super gimmicky all-monster deck that could Synchro and Xyz like crazy. I had so many different special summons coming from so many different places. There was one memorable match I had where I synchro summoned Black Rose Dragon four times in one match, using a different combination of materials every single time.

I still continue to use that all-monster deck on simulators like Legacy of the Duelist and YGOPro, adapting it with newer cards as time goes on.

Just had Magical Arm Shield used on me and it gave me the option to cancel my attack, which hasn't happened before with that card. Anyone know what was different this time?

Hmm, I was using Relinquished, which had been summoned using the Djinn card that makes it immune to Trap Card effects, to attack a face-down monster. AI used the MAS to grab my Summoned Skull. I didn't think it'd be because of the Djinn effect though since it wasn't Relinquished being directly targeted by the Trap Card, but that might be the most probable answer I guess.

If that's all, then I would guess that's the reason. Relinquished would be unaffected by Magical Arm Shield's effect that forces its attack to be redirected. So after MAS resolved, since the number of monsters on the opponent's side of the field had changed and the attack didn't go through, a replay occurred.

Yes. When a replay occurs, the monster whose attack declaration was disrupted is allowed to re-declare its attack, and can even pick a new target as well.
