I'll say. Anything that isn't liberal nonsense in the political arena is a no-no. Radical muslim terrorism? Nope. the fucked up thing about delaying the appeal is that what if they end up deciding you were innocent? you still pay for it then. cause by the time they respond, the warn sentence is already over. it's like sentencing a guy to 10 years in prison, and then 12 years later saying "sorry, I guess you were innocent. your free to go" "uh....thanks?"

Of course the mods are not 100% correct.
I do notice a trend, however, that people complaining about moderations are often serial offenders.

What seems more plausible:
- the mods have a list of users they try to moderate at any opportunity?
OR
- some people just can't help themselves from toeing/crossing the line?

Or the third option, which we know exists for a fact:

Certain issues are given protected status here, and are therefore modded (at least by one overzealous mod) more harshly.

I'm not "Islamophobic", though. That's a stupid buzzword with no real meaning. My stances on Islam are 100% justified and based in reality. Americans seem unable to fully appreciate this but the situation in Europe is very unlike the one in the US.

I mean, you can argue semantics if you want, it's not going to change the validity of what he said - exercising an unnecessary and unbased bias against any group, be it on religion, gender, race, sexuality, disability, whatever - is going to get modded and isn't really a "political opinion."

You don't get the free right to say whatever you choose and hand waive it because "muh opinion."

For the record, I do think most of the moderations given out on this site are fair. There are just a handful of issues which are weirdly protected, and it gets a bit shady when your dispute goes ignored. There are, what, how many mods on the site, again? Oh well. I don't wanna lose my 15 year old account so it might be best to avoid topics about certain subjects for a bit.

Since when are links to one of the most common image hosting sites an automatic offensive moderation. It's pretty damn clear the mod was looking to moderate whoever got to chose the guy's sig, why else would Crazymaori respond in 6 seconds.

Yeah, but I'm tempted to withdraw it. Not exactly passionate about my position on as a Community Board Leader (except in one case because the board's awesome) and I get a lot of unnecessary crap from trolls for it, and with my depression and motivation being as bad as they are already I don't need someone driving me any deeper, you know?

Plus I doubt I'd get the position anyways, for various reasons, namely that I haven't always been a good poster. (Well, assuming you deem my current posting as good, anyhow. All relative.)

But I'm not dumb enough to think it'd increase my odds. No one likes a teacher's pet / brown-nose / suck-up. >_>

Yeah, exactly. It's probably the reason that StarFighters76 guy was never picked. I remember he was a mega suck up on MBH 10+ years ago and then a mod explicitly told him it wouldn't increase his chances and to knock it off, and he stopped posting there. LOL
