it doesn't particularly matter what you believe. as we've covered already your perception does not actually determine reality. anyone who knows me personally knows that I am a very emotionally flat person. the idea of me getting angry is pretty absurd honestly.

I'm not. you're refusing to acknowledge that there are exactly 5 options on this poll and that cannot be changed. I've outlined the ways in which you can vote for two of those options. I've proposed the alternate solution of not voting. if you believe that your sport guns do not qualify as real guns then you are well within your rights to vote 'no' on the fact that you own a gun. I don't see how me being okay with you voting for any of the 5 options or not voting at all is somehow me being stubborn, but you continuing to argue with me about it is somehow not you be stubborn.

The ways you explained in which I could vote STILL do not fit my answer.

I don't need to vote in the poll - that's ok. That doesn't mean I can't answer the question in a post - but for some reason, that was frowned upon because it didn't fit your provided labels. Me trying to explain that makes me "obtuse", I guess. Sorry for answering the question you asked, my mistake to think you cared about the topic you made.

I mean that the question was "Do you own a firearm?" The answer to that is yes. The correct answer being "no, I don't own such a gun" is unclear because it doesn't make incredibly clear that it is saying "No, I don't own a gun for the purposes of self-defense or hunting etc..."


This clarification does allow me to answer your poll however.

Nope, don't own a firearm. And I won't let my kids go to anyone's house if they own a firearm, unless they keep that firearm locked up securely. I think guns are dangerous--but don't think they should be outlawed. I do think too many idiots own guns.

I have a shotgun that I use for sport (skeet, trap, etc.) but I'd definitely like to go hunting one day.

I own a rifle, but I received it from my grandfather in his will. It is never loaded and I don't even know how to use it, so it's entirely for decoration.

I think I would actively dislike carrying a gun around in public places so no to the open carry license.

Though a small part of me says why not anyway. More options is never bad.

I just decided to main a Hunter in World of Warcraft and he's using what appears to be a shotgun. I suppose I should vote for the second option but I do intend to use it in self-defense given I'm on a PvP realm.
