I liked Clark and Lana, but objectively that was a train wreck. Personally I never saw any romance between Clark and Lois. Not to mention that at that point (and even beyond it) Clark and Lana had been overplayed to the point that it felt like Clark was "settling" for Lois.

So I'm not sure how to answer.

I'll always vote for anything involving lex.

He made that show.

I'd really like to see smallville re-visited and redone, but with Lex as the hero, and Clark as the eventual villain that is trying to take over the world.

I'd rewrite the whole thing, splitting off pretty much at the time black kryptonite is used on clark (to break Jorels control), only in this version that does not happen.

Lex then becomes the hero that fights against evil Clark and hooks up with Lana.

Fan fiction etc, but yeah, would be awesome.

Fan fiction that would never happen because that isn't the story of Superman, thus DC wouldn't let them do it.

I don't know if it's different with DC, but Marvel does Spider-Man stories that aren't about Spider-Man (Gwen, that Doc Ock one, etc.).

The problem with that show was that the only relationship that ever really had any chemistry was Clark and Chloe. But it was also the one they were never actually going to pull the trigger on because of continuity.

Which is a shame, because that show fucks with continuity in about a thousand different ways, up to and including using Green Arrow as "Substitute Batman". It wouldn't have been a catastrophe if they'd just had just bent on that particular plot point as well.

There was chemistry between lex and clark, just not that kind lol hehe. Although now adays even that would be a possibility (I wish I could quit you Clark!).

And yeah, the show would still be about superman, just a darker superman, and lex has always been a darker batman in a way, so you could in effect have a real batman vs superman show going on.

Also lex could end up recruiting all the others to battle/fight the more dark superman.

Could be a freaking awesome spin on the whole story to be honest, especially with the Lex from smallville as the hero/leading role. Too late now sadly, but It would have been freaking epic if they did that back in 2004 or so.

See, I didn't see any romantic chemistry with Chloe either. They had plenty of platonic chemistry, which is what I also felt with him and Lois.

She was, but I remember one episode where she had to go back to high school for some reason. Most of the characters barely got a free pass for looking the age, but she clearly looked, like, 30 compared to them. There was just no way.

I think it was more than one episode actually. I remember there was some drama with who Clark would go to the dance with; Lana or Lois.
