in slew of the nes mini. Nintendo doesn't care about it's customer. They make their products for the scalpers? (amiibo, 3ds, switch and other limited quantity products)

If someone did start an offical boycott, we should tell nintendo that we won't just boycott the snes machine; we will also make our own emulation box that has all the games that we have phycial copies of PLUS the games resold to us in the past 20 years via virtual console/ports.


Make nes mini available through their website and retail stores or be boycotted.

It's relevant because you said pirates try to win people over, but that's not how it works. Hackers and rom dumpers aren't out on forums trying to get people to pirate, they usually stick in a note telling people to buy the game if it was made in the last 15 years.

Hate to break it to you Zangulus, but unless they are owning and operating their own racks, the ads are just pushed by whichever ad networks their host is contracted with. That is easily upwards of 90% of all of them.

That argument doesn't make much sense, especially since every console maker's stuff seems heavily scalped at release unless the whole thing is a flop. Plus there's the culture issue people are increasingly likely to scalp certain products because they see others doing it, which isn't necessarily the company's fault.

instead they discontinue them and now scapler are selling them for $300 to $400.

I have never walked into the store or gone online and see it in stock. Ok, Once I have saw it in stock, but i had to buy a tv with it, which is crap deal if you are not in the market for a tv.

I'm not asking them to keep in stock in every. All i'm asking for is just sell them on their site if you want them, so we don't have to go to a scapler to buy one.

Someone checked the version of the game on the Wii U virtual console and they found that if played in an emulator, it had a header marking it as being hosted on a popular rom site. So they literally just dragged and dropped a rom from one of those pirate sites they claim to hate so much because they were too lazy to dump it themselves.

That's actually pretty smart. Someone did all the work for them, why reinvent the wheel when they can profit from someone pirating their stuff with no overhead. This way at least some good, from their perspective, comes from pirated games.

so you're saying that when someone found that specific version online and then played it, there was a header?

but the header wasn't in the virtual console version, right? because it's played from an emulator. if the header was there, it would be on the VC version too.

Nintendo literally said that they were not making a lot of them, and they wouldn't be making them forever. it was a limited time thing, and it was never advertised as being anything other than that.

it's literally the exact same as any other limited edition item. you preorder it to ensure you get one, or hope you can find one elsewhere at a reasonable price.
