The other best player at my club hit my Hamon with his Accel Synchro and made Shooting Quasar. I will never live it down at this rate though I decided to order Rank-up-Magic + Dark Requiem

Plus I've realized from some quick research that there are not as many ez-summon all-purpose tuners as I thought, so it's not just a matter of spamming two generic level 4s and making Castel

They could've gone for the original concept where Clear Wing Synchro Dragon was required for the summon but they ditched that

Link monsters are summoned from the Extra Deck by sending monsters to the graveyard from your field, equal to that monster's "Link Number." Often they have an additional requirement specifying what kind of monsters you use. They have no levels or ranks and cannot be placed in defense mode

Link Monsters have arrows pointing in 8 directions. If a Link Monster has an active arrow pointing at another monster zone, that monster zone becomes an Extra Monster zone.

Normally, each player only gets 1 Extra Monster zone and thus can only control one extra deck monster (this includes Pendulum monsters summoned from being face-up in the extra deck). This is a sixth monster zone that has been added to the field. Link Monsters allow you to summon additional extra deck monsters by creating new Extra Monster zones.

The idea as I understand it is to slow down the game and stop extra deck spam, which I'm fine with since the three archetypes I play tend not to have more than one extra deck monster out. But some of the stuff they're coming out with is letting people come up with insane combos for these Link monsters. Like, because of Rescue Ferret or whatever, this guy made a combo using all 15 cards in the extra deck that lets him make a Mutual Link, take his opponent's Extra Monster zone (giving him seven max monsters), and have 3 of those Firewall Dragons for insane control

Six Sams only stands a chance nowadays if you have like Shi En and say this Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon out at the same time imo. I mean you'd usually need more than 1 synchros. The deck needs speed, but other decks are so much stronger now and faster. I wish Six Sams eventually makes a come back though. Amazing art and lore on this archetype that most archetypes don't get to have
