Not that I buy a lot of games very early on anyway. Hell, this would still be pretty early in its life for me to buy were it any other game, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to finally be able to buy a Zelda game on day 1.

I was going to buy it, but then my brother, who already owned the Wii U version, got a Switch and another copy of the game, so he told me not to buy it because he'll give me his Wii U version next time he sees me.

I got to the first one around the village on my first day. I pretty much just ran around getting quests and dying for like my first three days of playing

And it took me like a week to even realize how to climb the towers. I don't know why it took me so long

I've been playing it nonstop the last week and a half.

Easily the best Zelda.

You can only stable horses but you can stable the giant horse. He's not very fast but he's super strong and he never runs out of stamina so you can gallop forever.

He's also hilariously huge compared to Link.

I was really enjoying it, then got Horizon Zero Dawn from gamefly (free month if I came back), and have been playing that instead. Actually like it more, but both are great.

Got KH 2.8 as well, which is fun as well, but I just can't play them both at the same time, so I'm focusing on horizen for now.

Honestly that was my favourite part of the game. Just accidentally finding it.

I couldn't beat the boss of my first dungeon so I just some exploring and practicing to build up supplies. I accidentally found that while just exploring. I made it a mission to get enough hearts for it, and when I finally did, I returned and absolutely dominated the dungeons one by one.

I can't even imagine a more fun way to play the game.

You can respec. It cost I think 25 rupees per stat point

Personally I hardly ever even used the Master Sword. Its damage value is 30, but it goes up to 60 when you're around certain enemies, I think. I mean, I know it goes up to 60 but I'm not sure the exact cause.

Spears became my favorite weapon class to use. That speed + reach is awesome. I don't really shield much though so for me it's not a big sacrifice over one-handed swords.

I beat all four before getting the sword, but only because I kept gliding into the forest and being shoved out. So I thought beating all would release the fog.

Beat my first dungeon! The one at Zora's Domain. I think I'll try heading up Death Mountain next. I have 2 full stamina wheels and like 7 or 8 hearts.

I was kinda weird. I went east and did Zora domain first. Then went south a bit, then retracked all of the east coast going up further north. Then made my way a little west from there to Death Mountain, couldn't find the village so I went back to the pleateu and went west a bit finding the rito village. Did all that, went back to Death Mountain and did find the village. Did that devine beast. Then finally continued west from there and found the master sword.
That was about 60 hours in at that point... and I still dodn't have enough hearts cause I did 1 heart for every 2 stamina upgrades. I was about 4 hearts shy.

I was disappointed when I found out what you do with those things. You basically just shoot parts of them for armor upgrades and a few shrine quests.

I'm seriously hoping that in the DLC you can box them

Okay, I saw another dragon to the west of Hyrule Castle. I decided to turn back and try to climb Death Mountain. My clothes and my wooden weapons caught fire so I teleported away. I decided I wanted to see what was on top of Mount Lanayru. I climbed my way up, found yet another dragon and decided to fight it. It was actually a lot easier than I expected. But that was still really cool to climb up this huge mountain and find a dragon resting on top. Guess I'll do the desert next since Death Mountain makes me explode.

Urbosa's Fury is obviously the most powerful, but the best one is easily Mipha's Grace if you get it early. So many bullshit enemies just one shot you, and Mipha's Grace provides a bit of breathing room.

For that you need to drink a fire proof potion and run your ass to the clothes shop to buy armor
I forgot how to get the potion though :p

You can tame it and register is just can't change the saddle/reigns

I forgot how to get the potion though :p

There's also a guy in the south goron mine who will give you the fire proof chest peice for 10 fire proof lizards. In the meantime I used fire proof potions bought from the stable near the border.

Some of the people in this topic are pretty cavalier with spoilers. Well, I know they're not actual plot spoilers, but you get the idea. This is why I just didn't bother with reading or watching any sort of discussion of the game until I beat it.

It does that in temples including Hyrule Castle, as well as around guardians.

I got it by the Great Plateau. Did you know lynels won't attack you when you're on it? Afaik anyway. I rode by two on my way to board it. One got the exclamation point above him but he didn't do anything. I named it Ajax.
