Gimme that JLM

Current polling, with a couple weeks to go, has Macron and Le Pen about tied at 23%, with JLM and Fillon around 19-20%, Hamon with 8%. No one will receive a majority, and so the top two will go to a second round. All polling suggests Le Pen would lose that second round fairly handily, to either Macron or Melenchon.

A couple weeks to go, the top four candidates are basically all within the margin for error at this point. If Hamon were to drop out, it would likely boost Melenchon's chances.

Le Pen

Why?

From my understanding, Le Pen takes the hardest stance against radical Islam, the greatest threat France faces right now.

Here, I dug up a poll. Basically, the top two finishers advance to the second round.
Benoit Hamon is the same party as the current president, Francois Hollande, but his primary opponent(Manuel Valls) endorsed Emmanuel Macron instead, so his support has cratered.
Le Pen is a less subtle Trump, Fillon is a scandal-plagued center-right guy, Melanchon is an actual leftist, and Emmaneul Macron is, like, Michael Bloomberg-ish?
A vote for Melanchon is a vote against austerity, so he's who I would vote for if I were French. The others will either do nothing about the coming crisis(Macron, Fillon) or accelerate it(Le Pen).

doubt it. the only disappointments are trump and brexit. every other nationalist movement in the west has failed so far. I think geert wilders was the last one (netherlands). I suspect/hope le pen goes the way of wilders

I'll admit to know very little about political life in France before the last 6 months or so, but from what I gather the likelihood is Le Pen and Macron will finish as 1 and 2 with and when the other parties drop they'll all endorse him as she really doesn't have much if a ceiling past that. Though Melenchon has shot up dramatically in recent weeks through the debates and use of viral campaigning and pub stunts. I think it was Bloomberg that had a decent link about it and breaking it down, I'll try to find it.
