Yes No She's Average View Results 18 y/o Becca Longo, an Arizona Student at Chandler Basha High School made history by being the first GIRL to ever receive an NCAA Football Scholarship!! She's a kicker for her high school football team and signed her letter of intent to play COLLEGE FOOTBALL with Division II Adams State University in Colorado!! She was surprised when her coach, Gerald Todd said she was the first woman ever to receive a scholarship at the Division II level or higher Becca said "I'm still in shock from it. I'm just amazed" She'll also play basketball there where former Cardinals QB Timm Rosenbach is head coach as he said "To me, there is no doubt she can be competitive. She has a strong leg, and she can be very accurate" Becca had a fascination for "kicking" for years despite having a back injury that led doctors to say she'll never play sports again. She was a junior varsity kicker at Queen Creek High but was forced to sit out after being transferred to Basha She won a starting job on field goals and extra points Becca converted 35 of 38 extra point attempts last season and was good on her lone field goal attempt of 30 yards. She kicked in front of a coaching staff at Adams state and they offered her a scholarship!!
