I've lived in Austin, TX for most of my life. I don't want to leave, honestly. Other places are cool, but I want Austin to be my home.

So crowded and expensive now though. I guess if you like waiting in traffic for hours every day, it's a cool place.

I live about 15 minutes away from my job right now, though, so I don't really have to worry about traffic much at all.

Lol well that's good that you can get to work, but try getting across the city on Friday or Saturday.

Austin is great, no bored moments.

Choosing UT-Austin over more scholarships to A&M was the best decision I ever made

I think that's the only way it's worth it to go to school there. So expensive and competitive otherwise. Hope you got a room on campus so you don't have to deal with parking.

If only Texas actually provided public transport and healthcare. They're gonna get bit in the ass in a decade or two from their poor choices. Gonna be a surprise tax increase.

Hehe, get a car with a high roof and a low floor so you can get up and dance during a traffic jam. And before you head over there, get a stripper, a pizza, and a designated driver so you can have the party with you at all times.

The ends justify the means. Enough Californians moving into Texas will turn Texas into a blue state.

Californians should move out across the country, so miscarriages of justice like Bush and Trump never happen again

Why would a Californian move to Texas anyway?

Or leave California at all, really?

It's what liberals do. They ruin one place (California), realize high taxes, high regulation, unending stupid policies aren't actually a good thing, then move to a place that doesn't have those as much (Texas). The ironic thing is as soon as they get there they start to try to change the place into the one they left.

Texas' whole economy is based off of snapping up established California companies and convincing them to operate there instead. It's not really a big surprise when their plan ends up snapping up some Californians as well.

California refuses to have big energy plants in the state while Texas doesn't

so no surprise when Texas is the big energy state and California even buys energy from Texas

I disagree. Please move to Texas. Maybe Texans will finally do something about all the barbed wire and cactus that is so BS. Where I drive I see a ranch house that is going to ruin on land full of cactus and has barbed wire around it. The owners aren't going to sale until they get the right price. It looks like crap and a law would make them get rid of the cactus and barbed wire and put up a good fence and plant grass. Californians would do that.

Houston too, more variety in the Dallas metroplex and Houston. Austin and central Texas in general is king for barbecue but they're getting better in recent years for more variety of cuisine over recent years.

I gravitate to Houston more for food, I need my cajun/creole cuisine fix.

Cost of living in California is high.

Sure but everyone is educated and open minded and Happy Meals are banned.

So is everyone in Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, Houston, Fort Worth, etc

It's only hick country towns and small cities that keep this state red.
