I have been having a wasp problem and earlier this week I said the following: I'd rather get attacked by a pride of lions that would tear and eat me alive and killing me than deal with getting attacked by a swarm of wasps or bees and live. My fear of bees/wasps is just that intense.

So I'll fight the lion even though, for most people, they would be more likely to survive many bee stings over trying to fight a large man-eating animal.

500 bees would be pretty easy. If I have thick clothing and 2 frying pans I can knock that horde of bees down by big numbers all at once. They're pretty easy to crowd control because they're dumb. And a lion is potentially fatal up until the point of its death.

There's a chance of surviving against the bees (35%?). There's emphatically zero chance of surviving against the lion.

Shove your arm down the lion's throat. You'll get injured, but you'll probably choke the lion to death.

On the other hand, you probably still have a better chance against the bees, though I'm sure 500 bees can kill someone even if they're not allergic to them.

Depends on what I'm allowed to bring.

The bees are WAAAAAAAY easier to beat with prep time. Thick, layered clothes/mask and any kind of melee weapon will ensure you kill them eventually with no/minimal stings.

The lion would also be easier with prep time but not fool-proof, as error would be easier in shooting it.

Meanwhile, with no prep or anything, it would be almost impossible to beat 500 bees, but the possibility of out-smarting and out-fighting the lion is there, slim as the chance may be.

It also matters if they start aggressive or not.

uhhh I guess bees because I think I have enough loopholes and spray poison to deal with them. If they are intent on killing me, I could hide under blankets and then make a little airhole for them to come in single file and smoosh them. Also 500 stings (max) isn't enough to kill me, I don't think.

I have some guns but I really wouldn't want to chance it against something like a lion. I guess I envision that we're in a lion cage. If the thing moves around much, I wouldn't be confident that I could make a kill shot. I do have a chainsaw and a jaw saw. I think I'd take those over the gun. If the lion gets on me, I have a decent chance of doing fatal damage first if I prepare for that outcome.

So doing some real fast googling, 500 stings is enough to cause serious damage to someone but not enough to kill. It takes between 1000 to 1500 stings to kill a full sized adult.

So with the knowledge that I literally cannot die, the bees no matter what, I guess. Would suck though. But so would going against a lion.
